On the road again...

We will be in the states during May and June, visiting churches and attending Sarah & Drew's wedding.

Let the children come to me, and hinder them not...

The deaf & disabled children at Carita de Angel are enjoying the new Bible classes. We started 4 weeks ago, teaching the Bible each Friday. So far the lessons have been: Jesus loves the children (and everybody), a summary of the life, death and resurrection of Christ (before Easter vacation), the good Samaritan and this week we showed the Jesus film. Thanks to God for the attentive and open hearts of these kids!

March 2009 B.P. (before projector)...

A new way to determine time: BP = before projector and AP = after projector. We are all thankful for the utility of a laptop, but there are limits to how many people can crowd around one - certainly not all of our class at once. But thanks to God, we live in the AP era now!

April 2009 A.P. (after projector)...

... what perfect timing to get our projector! As a culmination of lessons on the life of Jesus for deaf teenagers and their families, we invited the community to watch the film with them. The class size more than doubled with the visitors!

If you don't like the way they drive, stay off the sidewalk!

The funny bumper sticker in the USA is a reality of driving in Honduras. Mike sat in his lane (like the polite missionary he is) as other folks made a couple of extra lanes. What was the back-up? Rubberneckers looking at a taxi that had a close encounter with a telephone pole... where else, but on the far side of the sidewalk... occasionally it feels like a far side cartoon down here...

We are blessed to be here, serving our God and enjoying being with Hondurans - both the ones who receive the help graciously and the others who are helping us.
