Martha bought a winning lottery ticket!
We won the Honduran lottery! Like everywhere apparently, lottery tickets are to be had here also. On the roadside, in the markets. Martha saw a student selling tickets in the "farmer's market" so she bought one. She figured he would appreciate it and he needed the money. We won 100,000 Lempiras! That is about $5,200 US. We are very grateful. It comes at a good time as we expand the work & expenses here. |

First interpreted church service in Siguatepeque a success!
This was a first for almost everyone in the service (except us) and it went very well. We were so busy and preoccupied that sorry - no picture. 12 Deaf and hard of hearing people attended as well as family members.
During the time for greeting each other, numerous hearing people asked me how to to say welcome, pleased to meet you, etc. Even though we were in the front, I could tell lots of folks were watching our group singing the songs. And the Deaf enjoyed themselves a lot.
Thanks for your prayers and praise God with us for the wonderful development. |
Easter lessons...
The past month we've focused on teaching Easter oriented lessons. Our deaf students are understanding much more this year as compared to last year. How awesome that many now know the life of Christ from birth to crucifiction to resurrection. We are proud of them! |
